This appeal arises pursuant to the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act, TEX. LAB. CODE ANN. § 401.001 et seq. (1989 Act). A contested case hearing was held on November 5, 2003. The hearing officer determined that appellant/cross-respondent (claimant) did not sustain a compensable injury and that he did not have disability. Claimant appealed these determinations on sufficiency grounds. Respondent/cross-appellant (carrier) responded that the hearing officer did not err in making these determinations. Even though it prevailed, carrier appeals the hearing officer’s determination that due to the claimed injury, claimant was unable to earn his preinjury wage for a certain period. The file does not contain a response from claimant.
DECISION
We affirm.
We have reviewed the complained-of determinations regarding compensability and disability and conclude that the issues involved fact questions for the hearing officer. The hearing officer reviewed the record and decided what facts were established. We conclude that the hearing officer’s determinations are supported by the record and are not so against the great weight and preponderance of the evidence as to be clearly wrong or manifestly unjust. Cain v. Bain, 709 S.W.2d 175, 176 (Tex. 1986).
Carrier appealed the determination that claimant was unable to earn his preinjury wage for a certain period due to the “claimed injury.” The hearing officer apparently believed that something other than the compensable injury caused claimant to be unable to earn his preinjury wage. Because the hearing officer found there was no disability, carrier was not aggrieved by this finding and we perceive no reversible error.
We affirm the hearing officer’s decision and order.
